    If you are a young woman I would not recommend you ask about a problem with your car on your own.
    I knew there was something wrong with my car so took it to base garage to see if they could tell me what was wrong with it and possibly get a quote. Sometimes it's quite daunting going into a garage to explain what is wrong with your car without sounding stupid.
    I parked my car up and entered the garage office and proceeded to explain to the man what was wrong and if anyone would be able to take a quick look? He asked for my name and number and said leave the car with us I'll get someone to look at it today, I then replied saying would it be possible for someone to take a look now as I'm on my own and have no way of getting home as I live in a village about 10 minutes drive away. I will also add that base garage is located in a village so I thought they would expect that people from surrounding villages who turn up on their own would have no means of transport back if they was to leave their car there.
    Well from that moment on I became a nuisance to that man in the office, huffing and puffing at the question I just asked and his body language and tone of voice completely changed towards me. He was about to walk out the office to talk to a mechanic where I turned and said to him ' well if it's too much of a problem I'll go somewhere else' he just carried on walking saying no not a problem. I decided from that moment that whatever was wrong with the car and whatever the cost was this garage was not going to get my custom so I walked out of the office and was about to get in my car to leave when the mechanic came up to me asking if it was me who needed my car looking at, I said yes I do but I I've already told the man in the office if it's too much trouble I'll go somewhere else. The mechanic said no it's no trouble and took the car for a drive.
    Any way turned out it was my rear axel that was on its way out and the garage would call me later with a quote, which I didn't really care about. I got home phoned a garage that I've used a few times in Sudbury they also said they would phone back with a quote as well.
    Well I'll let you sum up the costs:

    Base garage- second hand axel and fitting £715
    Sudbury garage- brand new axel and fitting £650

    Sudbury garage also told me that it would be pointless using a second hand axel as the bushes could be damaged

    Worst customer service I have received and safe to say I will never return to this garage nor recommend to anyone.

    I have been using this garage for the past 6 years.
    Contrary to the other review, I would highly recommend this garage. Work is always carried out quickly and to a high standard.
